A digital menu is your business's menu viewed on a phone, tablet or the web. Its most common form is the QR menu: the guest scans the code on the table and the menu opens in the browser — no app to download.
Printed menu vs. digital menu
| Printed menu | Digital menu | |
|---|---|---|
| Price updates | Requires a reprint | Instant, from the dashboard |
| Cost | Repeats with every change | Fixed yearly fee |
| Language support | Separate print needed | 8 languages from the same QR |
| Ordering | Guests wait for a waiter | Orders from the table |
| Photos / allergen info | Limited space | Unlimited |
Note: under Turkish regulations you must provide a physical price list if a guest asks for one; a digital menu works alongside it, not instead of it, and showing the price list via a QR code on the table is a method recognised by the regulation.
Is a tablet menu the same as a QR menu?
No. With a tablet menu you buy a device for every table and deal with charging and maintenance. With a QR menu, guests use their own phones; there is no device cost for the business.
Frequently asked questions
Is internet access required for a digital menu?
It is enough for your guest's phone to be online; your business does not have to share its Wi-Fi.
Who updates the menu?
You do. You log in to the dashboard and change the price; the change goes live instantly.
